Serving the residential, retail, and commercial sectors, we specialize in custom glass showers, windows and doors, patio doors, closet doors, over-the-counter glass fabrication, polishing, and installation services.

Position Summary

As the Director of Sales, you will lead a team of 7 sales professionals and a service/scheduling manager to drive revenue and growth across all business lines. Collaborating closely with the VP and Owner, you will set and achieve sales targets, enhance customer experience, and streamline sales processes.

This is a high-energy, fast-paced role that requires a hands-on leader with experience in sales management and the glass and glazing industry.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Manage and oversee the sales team to consistently meet or exceed targets.
  • Foster a positive, results-driven environment to motivate your team.

Training & Development

  • Mentor and develop your team to improve sales skills and product knowledge.

Customer Engagement

  • Support daily sales operations by assisting with inquiries, quotes, and closing sales.

Pipeline & Process Management

  • Oversee the sales pipeline to ensure a consistent flow of opportunities and high conversion rates.
  • Lead the transition to new sales software to improve efficiency and growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with installation, estimating, marketing, and executive teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Track, analyze, and report on sales performance, revenue, and margins.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve strategies and processes.

Marketing Alignment

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align strategies with sales objectives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in Saturday sales coverage (up to 10 Saturdays per year) with a day off in lieu during the week.
  • Contribute to marketing and business development efforts.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven success in sales management or director roles in a related industry (glass, windows, doors, or home improvement).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the glass and glazing industry, including window replacement (Thermopane), doors, and related products.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team.
  • Operational Expertise: Experience working closely with installation and estimating teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Excel, and sales tools. Experience transitioning to new systems is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage a high-volume sales pipeline while maintaining accuracy.
  • Marketing Insight: Experience in marketing and business development is an asset.
  • Attitude: Self-driven, results-oriented, and passionate about learning and growth.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Highly competitive, based on experience.
  • Incentives: Performance-based bonuses.
  • Vacation: 4 weeks starting vacation.
  • Retirement Plan: DPS/RSP employee contribution and company matching up to $3,000/each year after one year of service.

  • Work-Life Balance:
    • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (to ensure coverage).
    • Up to 10 Saturdays/year with a day off in lieu to be taken off during the week.
